Report Layout Types - Shared and Individual
In the AuditBLOOM system, there are two types of audit report layouts:
- Shared Layout
- Individual Layout
Understanding the differences between these layout types helps in effectively organizing the report creation process and their usage across different audit templates.
Shared Layout
The Shared Layout is a report layout that can be used across multiple audit templates. It is created once and then can be linked to any template where it is needed. The shared layout simplifies report management by ensuring a consistent structure and format across different templates and audits.
Features of the Shared Layout:
- Reuse: One layout can be applied to many templates.
- Centralized Management: Changes made to the shared layout are automatically applied to all templates that use it.
- Time-saving: No need to create separate layouts for each template with the same settings.
Individual Layout
The Individual Layout is a report layout created specifically for a single audit template. It is used only in one template and cannot be linked to other templates.
Features of the Individual Layout:
- Uniqueness: The layout is tailored to the specific needs of an individual template.
- Local Management: Changes to the layout affect only the template it is linked to.
Choosing Between Shared and Individual Layout
When to Use a Shared Layout:
- Report Standardization: When you need a uniform report format across different audits.
- Consistency: When reports need to include the same information blocks regardless of the template.
- Simplified Management: For easy updates to the layout in one place across all templates.
- Leadership Communication: When you need to inform leadership about completed audits.
When to Use an Individual Layout:
- Specific Requirements: When a certain audit requires a unique way of presenting information.
- Unique Content: When specific blocks or settings need to be added that are not required in other reports.
- Control Over Changes: Changes to the layout will only affect the specific template and not others.
