Question Types Using Scores

In this article, we will briefly explore the types of questions that use scores in audit templates. The use of scores enables quantitative evaluation of auditor responses and calculation of the overall audit result. This helps in objective analysis and comparison of results between different audits or auditors.

Types of Questions with Scores​

Below are the types of questions that support the use of scores:

  1. Custom Answer List

    • Description: A question with a custom set of answers, where each option can be assigned a specific score.
    • Score Usage: Scores are assigned to each answer option. When the auditor responds, scores are applied based on the selected option.
    • Dependency on Violations: Score assignment is not dependent on the presence of a violation.

  2. Number

    • Description: A question where the auditor inputs a numerical value.
    • Score Usage: Scores are calculated based on the entered number and the value in the "Max. Score" field.
    • Dependency on Violations: Scores are assigned only when the response does not indicate a violation.

  3. Slider

    • Description: A question with a slider that the auditor moves to select a numerical value within a given range.
    • Score Usage: Scores correspond to the slider position and are proportional to the value in the "Max. Score" field.
    • Dependency on Violations: Score assignment is not dependent on the presence of a violation. Scores are applied whether or not a violation is present.

  4. Checkbox

    • Description: A question with an option to check or uncheck a box.
    • Score Usage: Scores are assigned for either checking or not checking the box and are equal to the value set in the "Max. Score" field.
    • Dependency on Violations: Scores are assigned only when no violation is present.

Notes​

  • Maximum Scores: For each question type listed above, you can set "Max. Score" to define the maximum number of points for the question.
  • Question Weight: Using scores allows you to set the weight of questions, making some questions more important than others in the overall audit result.
  • Overall Score Calculation: During the audit, the system sums up the scores for all questions to generate the overall result.
