This article explains the "Text" answer type in audit templates. This answer type allows auditors to input textual information as an answer to a question. It is useful for collecting comments, descriptions, notes, or any other textual information. When configuring the question, you can select the text length: "Short Text" or "Long Text", depending on the amount of information expected.

Step-by-Step Guide​

Adding a Text Question​

  1. Go to the audit template editor:

    • Log in to the system and navigate to the "Audit Templates" section.
    • Select the required template or create a new one.

  2. Add a new question:

    • Click "Add Question" in the desired section or category.
    • Select the "Text" question type from the list of available types.

  3. Configure the question parameters:

    • Question Text: Enter the wording of the question, such as "Describe the operating conditions of the equipment".

    • Text Length. Choose one of the options:

      • Short Text: Text is entered in a single line. Suitable for brief answers or comments.

      • Long Text: Text is entered in multiple lines. Suitable for detailed descriptions or extended answers.

    • Once the question is configured, the template will be saved automatically.

  • Clear Formulations: Phrase the question so that the auditor understands exactly what information is expected.

  • Use Logic: If necessary, set up display logic for the question based on responses to previous questions.

Answer: No, the text field is designed for plain text input without formatting.
