This article explains the "Photo" answer type in audit templates. This type allows auditors to take photos directly during the audit process. It is useful for documenting visual evidence, such as equipment condition, signs of damage, object placement, etc.

Step-by-Step Guide

Adding a Photo Question

  1. Go to the audit template editor:

    • Log in to the system and navigate to the "Audit Templates" section.
    • Select the required template or create a new one.
  2. Add a new question:

    • Click "Add Question" in the desired section or category.
    • Select the "Photo" question type from the list of available types.
  3. Configure the question parameters:

    • Question Text: Enter the wording for the question, such as "Take a photo of the equipment being inspected".
  4. Additional settings:

Question: Can an auditor upload an existing photo from the gallery?
Answer: Yes, the auditor can either take a new photo or select an existing one from the device gallery, depending on the template settings. The audit template includes a "Prohibit selecting images from the gallery" setting. If this is enabled, only new photos can be taken.


Question: Can multiple photos be added to a single question?
Answer: Yes, the "Photo" answer type allows attaching up to 4 photos per question. If more photos are needed, it is recommended to create multiple questions.


Question: Can photos be edited or deleted after they are added?
Answer: During the audit, the auditor can replace or delete photos until the audit is completed. After the audit is completed, changes are not possible.


Question: Are there any size or format restrictions for photos?
Answer: The system supports standard photo formats (JPEG, PNG). The photo size is limited to 15 megabytes. If a photo larger than 15 megabytes is uploaded, its size will be reduced to fit the limit.


Question: Can comments be added to photos?
Answer: Yes, comments can be added to any question.
