This article explains the "Instruction" answer type in audit templates. This answer type allows you to attach a PDF file or an image directly to the audit template.
You can also add question text for explanations or additional information.
It is not a question in the traditional sense as no response is required from the auditor.
During the audit, the auditor can view the attached file for reference or instructions.

Step-by-Step Guide

Adding an Instruction Question

  1. Go to the audit template editor:

    • Log in to the system and navigate to the "Audit Templates" section.
    • Select the required template or create a new one.
  2. Add a new question:

    • Click "Add Question" in the desired section or category.
    • Select the "Instruction" question type from the list of available types.
  3. Configure the question parameters:

    • Question Text: Enter the wording or description for the instruction, such as "Refer to the safety guidelines document".

    • Attach a File:

      • Click the "Choose File" button.
      • Select a PDF or image file from your computer.
      • Wait for the file upload to complete.
  4. Save changes:

    • Once the question is configured, the template will be saved automatically.

How Instructions Work During an Audit

  • The auditor opens the question with the "Instruction" answer type.
  • Sees the question text with the description.
  • Can open and view the attached file.
  • No response is required, allowing the auditor to proceed to the next question after reviewing the materials.

Question: Can a video or audio file be added as an instruction?

Answer: No, the "Instruction" answer type does not support responses or comments. If feedback is necessary, create an additional "Text" question for input.

Answer: Yes, you can replace the attached file in the template. However, to apply the changes, the updated template must be re-published.
